Having launched The Daily Mile at their school in June 2019 with a new track that was officially opened by ex-pupil Luke Steele (Goalkeeper, Nottingham Forest, currently on loan to Millwall), pupils and staff at Peakirk cum Glinton have been well and truly bitten by the running bug!
Children’s activity levels are on the rise across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, according to the second annual Active Lives Children and Young People Survey.
The proportion of children and young people reporting they are active in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough has increased by 3.9% over the past 12 months.
Sport England has partnered with Toyota and the British Paralympic Association to offer grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 to help ensure that when disabled people are active, they have access to quality equipment to help give them the best possible experience. Charities, community groups, CICs, social enterprises, schools and statutory bodies can apply. Applications are being accepted until 20 December 2019. Read More
