Living Sport Coach Bursary 2017

Please see the NEW Coach Bursary application form below. We are now happy to receive applications for our Level 2 bursaries. Please be aware that we have limited funding available and we cannot accept all applications. We will make you aware of status of your application after we have reviewed it. Further funding will be considered in September for those who miss out this time round. Please make yourself aware of the Coach Bursary Guidelines (link below) to ensure you qualify to apply. Please make yourself familiar with our strategic areas outlined in the guidelines. We are taking a more focused approach to our bursaries this year and mention of one or more of these areas will lead to a stronger application.

Coach Testamonial

“I had been coaching people of all ages for some years, but the Level 2 qualification made sure that I was up-to-date on coaching techniques and consistent across all my sessions, including planning and progress assessment. Since receiving a bursary and getting my qualification I have continued to coach our Learn 2 Row courses and also worked with intermediate and advanced crews within the club, along with Race Preparation for crews who are involved in local and British Rowing events.” Rob, Rowing Coach from Ely

“Gaining the confidence to go and do my level 1 in Netball coaching was really hard. I was so scared! But as I got into it, I loved every minute of the course. Since then, I have helped my club coach in sessions with adults and juniors. We have seen an increase in girls attending Netball sessions and we believe it is down to having more coaches on the ground to support them. Without the bursary, we wouldn’t have had that type of response within the club. I now want to get myself onto a level 2 course this coming year and continue the good work happening in the club” Becky, Netball Coach from Wisbech
