About us:
Spiral Gymnastics Club opened in October 2011 and offers a permanent training facility for gymnasts. The main focus of the club is Women's Artistic Gymnastics and has a variety of classes and competitive squads for girls of all ages. Our classes start at recreational level for boys and girls and gymnasts are invited to join our squads based on their potential. The club does also provide a boys squad, parent and child sessions, pre-school classes (GymTots), adult and teen sessions, birthday party hire, cheerleading (hosted by Posh Cheerleaders) and free running (hosted by TotalFreeRun).
What competitions do you compete in?
Our gymnasts represent us in friendly, county, regional and national level competitions
Recent success:
We've recently had eleven gymnasts accepted in to the county squad and have had medal placings at regional grade finals.
Any Olympics links/athletes:
Our gymnasts were very excited last summer during the Olympic Games and several have since had the opportunity to meet Olympic medal winners from Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastic teams. We saw a significant increase in new starters during September 2012 and we can only assume that this is due the Olympic Games 'Inspiring a Generation' following the exciting summer of sport we witnessed.
What would you like to achieve in the next year?
We hope to continue building on our membership base and to provide opportunities for our gymnasts to represent us at local and national level competitions
