Bringing People Into Sport

Cambridgeshire County Council and Living Sport have joined forces to create a fund to support development projects in the County.

Bringing People into Sport aims to help promote life changing sports activities for young people aged between 13 and 19 (up to 25 for young people with special or additional needs).  Projects must demonstrate that the activity will encourage participation by individuals who would not normally have the opportunity to get involved.

Ideally they will be long term projects not one offs and we are looking for creative ideas to engage young people and positively change lives. Examples of this are collated in a booklet showcasing good practise in Sport and Social Inclusion in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Information can is available on the County Council website.

To help bring your ideas to fruition, Cambridgeshire County Council and Living Sport are offering partnership funding of up to £1,000 per project. This money can equate to 100% of the total funding required, however, we would like to see partnership funding in place if possible, ideally 50% or more.

If you have a project in mind that is new but requires funding to set it in motion then please complete an application form (download below).

For further information or to discuss your ideas please don’t hesitate to contact:
