We want more people to take part in sport and physical activity and LIVING SPORT’s vision is “active and healthy communities where everyone can play, achieve and enjoy”. Our aim is to work with a wide range of individuals and organisations involved in sport, bringing them together to form one powerful single voice for sport in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The vision will be delivered by engaging with key local strategic priorities and partners and promote the importance and value of sport and highlighting the benefits it can bring to local communities. Through supporting sports clubs, organisations and the sporting workforce, we will help improve the quality and quantity of sport delivered in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
LIVING SPORT partners include District, City and County Councils, School Sports Partnerships, National Governing Bodies of Sport, Children and Young Peoples Services to deliver positive activities for young people and the Voluntary and Community Sector. We are escalating our engagement with health services to increase physical activity to tackle obesity and with education and training partners to develop people’s skills and employability.
