Entries are now being taken for the Youth Games PLUS 2010. The Games are a festival day of sport which attracts around 600 young people who have great fun competing in their favourite sport or just trying a new activity. The Games are organised by LIVING SPORT on behalf of the County Disability Sports Forum, and supported by Cambridge Building Society and Tesco.
The Games will be held at the One Leisure St Ives Outdoor Centre on Friday 11 June and are open to young people with a disability or additional needs at school in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough giving them the opportunity to compete against other students with similar needs at county level , as well as having fun and enjoying taking part in sport.
Schools can enter online at www.livingsport.co.uk once they have registered with LIVING SPORT. Participants can chose to compete as part of a team in Boccia, Cricket, Netball or Tag Rugby, and individuals can compete in Athletics.Alongside the competitive sports will be the popular Taster Village where participants can come and try a range of different sports just for fun including Archery, Climbing Wall, Racquet Sports, Golf, New age Kurling and Sensory games.

The County Disability Sports Forum is a group of representatives from Local Authorities, Schools, and Disability organization whose aim is: ‘To foster and promote provision of sporting and active recreation opportunities for people with disabilities and special needs within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
To support and assist people with disabilities by enhancing opportunities to participate, organise, volunteer, coach and develop them through sport. To support events, bring key groups and partners together across the county’.
