Book now for ‘not in our club!’ child safety drama evening
Following the success of September’s Safeguarding Conference, LIVING SPORT1 and partners2 are hosting a second safeguarding event on Monday 28th March from 6 to 9pm at the Maltings in Ely, East Cambridgeshire.
‘Not in our club!’ is an interactive play exploring child welfare issues within a sports environment, in this case within a sports club. It is based on a very powerful and thought-provoking performance by Geese Theatre Company3 in order to raise awareness about child protection in sport.
Rachel Tarr, National Child Protection Manager at the FA said: “Geese Theatre Company provide an inspiring and unique insight into understanding the safeguards that need to be in place in sports clubs as well as the consequences if this doesn’t happen. Definitely an event not to be missed, it deals with realities and solutions. I can’t stress enough how much of an added value it is for welfare officers to be accompanied by at least one member of the committee – seeing is believing, don’t miss this excellent opportunity. I wish this was available for all clubs across the country.”
This event is a must for anyone involved in sport in the County and LIVING SPORT strongly recommends clubs to attend.
Tickets are available as a special package with £10 for the first ticket, only £5 for the second ticket and the third tickets is FREE! Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits provided.
Due to limited availability, we recommend you book online before March 21st at www.livingsport.co.uk or alternatively contact Lucy Vollborth on 01487 849929 and lucy.vollborth@livingsport.co.uk for more information.
