This Level 1 vocationally related qualification provides candidates with an opportunity to study and be assessed for both practical and theoretical aspects of coaching football at this level.
The knowledge gained will enable candidates to develop a basic understanding of safe, ethical and effective coaching for young people. The Level 1 qualifies the candidate to work with grass roots club teams of children and young people aged 6 – 10 years. It is a stepping stone to other vocationally related areas in football including coaching, administration, officiating and sports therapy.

Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 September - Practical & Theory - 9.00am-5.00pm
Monday 20 July - Safeguarding Children - 6.30pm-9.30pm
Fridays 17 or 24 September - Emergancy Aid - 6.00pm-9.00pm
Sunday 26 July - Assessment - 9.00am-5.00pm
Coaching football, whether in an employed or voluntary capacity, is a rewarding and responsible role. This course is the first step on the ladder to gain further qualifications such as the Level 2 and Level 3 Coaching Certificates.
The amount of time the student has to dedicate to the course is as follows; 26 – 34 hours of guided learning, Safeguarding Children workshop, Emergency aid course, Assessment day.
Candidates MUST be 16 or over by the previous September 1st prior to the start of the course and the course fee is £110.
