Module 2 of The FA Youth Award focuses on development practice sessions which are appropriate for young players of different ages, abilities and with different experience levels. This is more suited to coaches who want to develop their knowledge futher.

Centre of Excellence/Academy coaches as well as committed grassroots coaches have found this futher area of study useful.

The content on all modules is relevant for coaches working with young players of any age (5+), while some content can also be applied to adult football.

Module Two lasts for four days (32 hours) and include a formative assessment (you will prepare and deliver a practical session and feedback will be given - it is not pass or fail).

The course will be a mixture of theory and practical sessions covering:

- Balance & proprioception;

- The reason for practice and training;

- Growth & development of young players;

- Motor control;

- The risks of overuse Injuries in young players;

- Learning the game;

- Developing skills for the game;

- Types of practice;

- Warm ups;

- Structuring practice;

- Maturity;

- Age;

- Incorporation goalkeepers into your session;

- Player snapshots.

- The FA Youth Award Module 1

Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 October - Practical & Theory - 9.00am-5.00pmThe cost of the course is £130.
