Other National Funding

The best other place to look for funding is Big Lottery Awards for All.  Grants are available for between £300 and £10 000 against one of the three Awards for All priorities

  • bring people together and build strong relationships in and across communities
  • improve the places and spaces that matter to communities
  • enable more people to fulfil their potential by working to address issues at the earliest possible stage.

Two very important things to think about.  To involve your local community in developing your application and then subsequently delivery.

And not to apply to Awards for All for a sport project – you will be directed by them to Sport England Small Grants.  However, you can apply for a project which delivers the Awards for All priorities just does so by using sport as the tool for delivery.  You can apply for equipment, staff time, small capital items and unlike some other funds one-off events are supported

There are also small grants schemes for Heritage and Arts but again you would need a project which delivers against the Heritage or Arts objectives, it just happens to do so through sport.
