Introduction

How can I be a coach? How can I get qualified as a coach? These are just some of the questions you may be asking yourself. Anyone can train to become a coach, however, it takes special qualities to be able to engage, motivate and develop the recipient. Coaching is first and foremost about people and encouraging them to enjoy the positive benefits of sport and helping them achieve their potential. Some clubs will be lucky enough to have a dedicated coach or coaches whose roles will vary from delivering basic to elite level skills.

People become qualified coaches for a variety of reasons – some want to coach to help out in a voluntary capacity for their club or school and others want to make it their professional career.
