Quality standards for clubs
LIVING SPORT can now award Clubmark status for local clubs whose National Governing Body is unable to make the award. Log on to the members' section for more detail.
Clubmark and Charter Standard are development schemes designed to help sports clubs progress and grow. They double as a quality mark and also as a sign of recognition that the club has high standards in everything it does.
There are thousands of clubs nationwide either working towards Clubmark or have already achieved it, and all would say the journey was worth it.
But what would it mean to you and your club?
- It would provide structure and development possibilities
With structure comes clarity and with a plan, comes club development and survival
Parents are more likely to entrust the care of their young people to a club that had First Aid and Safeguarding Children qualifications and an equality policy would encourage diversity in membership
- Developing a club's workforce
Clubmark encourages the development of skills i coaching and volunteering, and offers a path for that training
With Clubmark status comes promotion and enlisting in the Clubmark directory of top clubs
