Young people are being opted in, with an opportunity for parents and guardians to opt out.

The card works in the same way as an ordinary credit card, with some exceptions, and using the card, entitles the young person to about £40 worth of activities in any month.

On Sunday 30 March, Papworth Junior Badminton Club in partnership with LIVING SPORT ran a Badminton Junior Helper Award at St Ivo Leisure Centre, St Ives. Badminton enthusiasts from across Cambridgeshire aged 13 upwards were given the chance to learn and develop their leadership skills in a morning session run by Papworth’s Head Coach, Steve Hoath.

Seven youngsters were able to put their skills into practise as six junior helpers worked as part of a team to run a tournament for 24 young players from local clubs. The remaining young leader along with Racquets Development Officer; Matt Asbrey, ran a Bisi festival for the younger children under 10 years old.

Congratulations go to all the junior helpers who completed the course and can put their newfound skills into practise at their own clubs.
