Want to play sport but can't find a club?

Try the following:

Check out the sports club databases on the following websites:

If you still can't find what you're looking for:

  • Get in touch with LIVING SPORT and we'll try to find what you're after
  • Call the Governing Body of the sport you want to play. For example if you want to play football, contact The Football Association (FA), and if you want to play Tennis, contact the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). Click here for a list of sports with links to their Governing Body website
  • Put the sport you want to play, and where you want to play it, into www.google.co.uk, or another internet search engine
  • Look in Yellow Pages or another good phone directory

Once you've found a club, be sure to ask as many questions as you want to find out if it's the right club for you.

Don't forget to look out for Clubmark and Charter Standard. If a club has one of these you can be sure they are working really hard to provide a safe and effective environment for young people to play sport. Click here to read more about Clubmark and Charter Standard.

If you're looking for a sports facility:
Click here to visit the Active Places website to search for places to do sport in your area.

If you're looking for a partner to play against:
Click here to visit the Find a Sport Buddy website, which matches you to other people who want to play your sport.
