Hockey
Hockey is a team sport that uses a stick with a curved head and a small heavy ball. The game was traditionally played on grass however it has evolved into a game played on synthetic grass, or Astroturf. The aim of the game is to put the ball into the opponent’s goal. The game is popular throughout the world with men, women and children.
The game is inexpensive to play as most clubs will have equipment you can borrow to start with. We would recommend that you attended a Club Mark Accredited Club and for Hockey specifically a Clubs 1st Club. Coach and Volunteer Development:
Many people lead to the successes of children’s development and if you are one of those dedicated volunteers have you thought about undergoing a recognised qualification to increase your knowledge base and confidence whilst coaching? If so, LIVING SPORT can advise you on the best course for you, we also offer a wide variety of Sports Coach UK workshops directly and may be able to offer bursaries to help fund some of these courses.
