Para Equestrian
Many equestrian events exist for individuals with disabilities; these include show jumping, dressage and carriage driving. Scoring is conducted on the same bases as the able-bodied competitions. Competitors are grouped together into grades, so that individuals with similar levels of impairment compete against one another. Competitors are allowed to use compensating aids such as a special saddle and adapted reins, to enhance performance.
