Rugby Union

Rugby union is a full contact team game, competed between two teams of fifteen players. Using an oval shaped ball players pass or kick the ball to one another with the aim of advancing into the opposition’s half of the pitch to score the most points. Points are gained by scoring tries; grounding the ball over the opposition’s goal line or kicking the ball between the opposition’s goalposts and over the crossbar. 

Several variations of the game exist, including sevens and tag rugby.
