Do You Need Funding?

What is Sport Unlimited?

Sport Unlimited is a Sport England initiative which is an integral part of the Government’s Physical Education and Sport Strategy for Young People, often referred to as the 5 Hour Offer.

The programme is aimed at providing term time opportunities for young people who are ‘semi sporty’ (those currently participating in 2-3 hours of sport a week) in a wide range of sports.

Each Sport Unlimited activity must run for eight weeks during term time with a one hour session each week. Sessions must be delivered in a fun and safe environment and aim to encourage participants to continue taking part in sport once the eight week programme has finished.

Funding is available for each project to cover coaching, venue or even transport. The deadline for the next funding round is 7th October and if you are interested in applying for a grant, or just need more information, please contact Ross Hayward on 01487 849915 or ross.hayward@livingsport.co.uk
