Sainsbury's Active Kids 2013

Building on the inspiration of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Sport England is working in partnership with Sainsbury’s to encourage thousands of clubs to join the Active Kids success story.

Since 2005, the Sainsbury’s Active Kids scheme has donated £123 million worth of equipment and experiences to more than 49,000 organisations*. Your club could join the sports clubs, nurseries, schools, Scout and Guide groups who have benefited from the scheme and help more young people across the country to lead healthier, more active lifestyles.

Active Kids aims to help young people of all ages and abilities lead healthier, more active lifestyles whilst having fun.

Over 1,000 sports clubs have already taken part in Active Kids and are enjoying all the great benefits. So with more sports clubs involved, that means even more kids getting active.

Collect Active Kids vouchers when you shop at Sainsbury's between 30th January and 22nd May and donate them to your local nursery, school, Scout or Guide group or sports club. They can then redeem them for active and sports equipment and experiences, and much much more.

New for 2013: Active Kids Challenge

Simple, fun and easy to run, the exciting new competition encourages kids to get active and make healthier choices.

Each week starts with four new challenges to encourage children to lead a healthier, more active lifestyle, including Game, Skill, Food and David Beckham's 1 Minute Challenge.

Complete the full six-week challenge and your club could be in with the chance of winning a place at the special Active Kids Challenge Live! event with ambassadors, David Beckham and Ellie Simmonds.

Taking part couldn’t be simpler. Collect 1 Active Kids voucher for every £10 spent** in Sainsbury’s supermarkets, petrol stations and for groceries online, or for every £5 spent in Sainsbury’s Locals. Make sure all your club members, friends, family and the local community know you are collecting. Redeem your vouchers in exchange for a wide range of active and sport equipment and active experiences that will support and enhance the sport you offer. Take a look at what’s available in the catalogue here.

If your club is not already registered, simply visit the Active Kids website or call 0844 415 8440**. Remember, your club must be Clubmark accredited. For more information visit the Active Kids website
