In association with Cambridge City Council and LIVING SPORT, Rounders England is delivering a community rounders tournament and taster session on Parker’s Piece on Sunday 27th September 2009.
The day’s activities are split into two main sessions; a mixed tournament for local pre-registered teams is organised to start at 11.00am, followed by an afternoon taster session open to the whole community from 1.30pm.
The tournament is for mixed-gender teams, with a maximum of nine players per side (larger squads and substitutions are allowed), and a minimum of four female players per team. Entries for the tournament are welcome from all quarters, however all entries must be received at the latest by Sunday 20th September.
There is no cost to the whole day; however there are a maximum number of spaces available for the tournament, so submit your registration forms early to avoid disappointment!
In addition to the Cambridge Rounders Festival, coaching and officiating courses have been organised, with the first UKCC Level One Rounders Coaching Course taking place on the 15th of November and 6th of December 2009 at Cambridge Regional College.
