Ean Morton and Robert Drew had to settle for silver with England at the British Isles Junior International Series in Llandrindod Wells.
Warboys White Hart's Morton skipped and Cambridge & County bowler Drew led a rink featuring Edward Morris and Matthew Orrey throughout the round-robin tournament.
They lost their opening game heavily, 35-11, against Calum Crawford, David Mitchell, Paul O'Donnell and Martyn Rice as England crashed 117-98 to Scotland, which proved to be a crucial defeat as Scotland won their remaining games.
