Diana Braverman strode out to become the British Masters Athletics Federation 10km walking champion.
The 58 year old's time of 1hr 7min 5sec gave her victory in her age group at the National Championships in Abbey Park, Leicester. The celebrations did not end there for the Cambridge & Coleridge Athletics Club member. Representing Enfield, she added a team silver to her haul.
A former cross-country international, she turned to race walking after knee surgery prematurely ended her 15-year running career. She also recently took part in a 50km race-walk in Newmarket, recording a time of 6:31.35.
