Charlotte up for inspirational award

England cricket captain Charlotte Edwards could take a top honour at the 2009 Inspiration Awards for Women on October 1.

Edwards, from Huntingdon, guided her country to Ashes victory and lifted the World Twenty20 Championships this summer. She was also made an MBE in this year’s Birthday Honours.

The awards night raises money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The public can vote here.
