Barnes-Weston and Taylor at their best

Talented members of Ely Artistic Roller Skating Club claimed an impressive haul of medals at the Maidstone Open, with two of LIVING SPORT’s community volunteers Elena Barnes-Weston and Emma Taylor being unstoppable as they both won gold in their respective categories.

Barnes-Weston won the dance final after successfully coming through two knockout heats, while Taylor performed to music from the film The Piano on her way to winning gold. Taylor also won a silver medal along with team-mates Chloe Thompson, Charlie Morton and Sophie Woodbridge.

Barnes-Weston added two bronze - one with Hannah Barclay for duo dance - while the team of Megan Bidecant, Amber Miller and Lucy Page and line-up of Barclay, Jasmine Page and Gemma Turner took team bronzes.

The squad also took bronze in the Club Show category.
