City of Peterborough Swimming Club (COPS) have defended their Senior Fenland League title in emphatic style.
In the final round, which was held on home ground at the Regional Pool Peterborough, COPS' swimmers clocked up an amazing 26 first places, eight second places and four thirds in the 39 races held.
The final points tallies were: COPS 213, West Norfolk A 164, City of Cambridge 145, The Saxons 108, West Norfolk B 73.
The margin of COPS' victory showed just how much the club has progressed in the last few seasons. They clocked up 16 new personal best times at a time of the season when many swimmers have only just returned to full-time training from the summer lay-off.
