Cambridge Triathlon Club junior members played a pivotal role in helping the Eastern Region team to a bronze medal at the British Triathlon Inter-Regional Championships.
Adam Tapley, Will Adams, Connor Delaney, James Tapley, George Schwiening, Alice Sharpe and Catriona Delaney were part of the team at Bryn Bach Park. Vasudev Zaver from the club had also qualified to represent the region, but a broken thumb forced him to pull out.
The squad contains the region’s top performing 14 youngsters, seven boys and seven girls, with the East finishing behind winners Yorkshire & Humberside and reigning champions the South East. The highlight was by Schwiening securing third in the 15 – 16 category.
