Talented young golfer Laura Tuttle capped a superb day's play at the Links, Newmarket, with her first hole-in-one.
The memorable event took place on the ninth hole where Tuttle selected an eight-iron to play the tee shot. The ball landed on the bank on the left-hand side of the hole and, much to the teenager's delight, rolled in.
It made an excellent weekend even better for Tuttle because in addition to the hole-in-one, she also won the junior competition with 40 points and saw her handicap reduced from 11.6 to 9.6. The previous day she had scored an impressive 41 points in the ladies stableford.
