Olga at the treble with county titles

Olga Bryant marked the start of the badminton season by winning three trophies at the Cambridgeshire Players' Tournament at Littleport.

For the ninth successive year, Bryant was victorious in the ladies' singles by beating Jaclyn Lai 21-12, 21-12, and in partnership with Katie Balls, took the ladies' doubles' title with the 21-9, 21-12 defeat of Lai and Liz Salmon.

Bryant completed the hat-trick by teaming up with Nick Pratt in the mixed doubles to beat Stephen Pickering and Sharon Chandler 21-10, 15-21, 21-17.

In the men's final, Mohhamed Mustafa was successful with a 21-19, 21-17 win over Stephen Pickering, having beaten Kevin Barron - a frequent rival in previous finals - in the semi-finals. Jason Bryant and Nick Pratt won the men's doubles 24-22, 20-22, 21-19 against Paul Martell and James Wilson.

In the plate finals, Molly Carter (14) and Hannah Sharman (15) were triumphant in the ladies' doubles.
