Neil Robertson was delighted at his snooker Grand Prix title victory after cruising to a 9-4 win over Ding Junhui in Sunday’s final in Glasgow.
Australian Robertson, 27, became the most successful player from outside the British Isles in terms of ranking tournaments by claiming his fourth at Kelvin Hall.
The snooker player, who practices at WT’s Snooker Club in Cambridge, is a former Grand Prix champion from 2006 and his three previous final successes all came against men who were outside the top 16 at the time.
With the score set at 4-4, Robertson secured a mammoth 57-minute ninth frame win that turned the game in his favour as he then remained unchallenged to take the 9-4 victory.
