Huntingdon athlete Neil Speaight ran the anchor leg as Belgrave Harriers finished runners-up in the National Six-Stage Road Relays at Birmingham.
Speaight, who has missed the majority of the summer through injury, clocked 17.22 while John Pike from Spalding ran the fifth stage for Newham and Essex Beagles B team, dropping two places to 24th.
Nene Valley Harriers finished 45th in the senior women's four-stage race. Ruth Jones was 54th after completing the opening stage (4,315m) in 16.38, Amelia Susulowsky ran 16.45 to move up five places, Yvonne Scarrott gained a further five in 17.16 and Tanya Taylor dropped one position with 18.27.
Harriers were also represented at the National Young Athletes Road Relays in three age groups at the same venue the next day.
A trio of Ed Hewitt, Sam Hunt and Tom Rodgers claimed their best position of 24th in the Under 17 men's race. Jade Carvath-Smith, back in action following a swine flu scare, performed well in the Under 15 girls team.
