Huntingdon swimmer Lauren Steadman exceeded her own expectations to take a bronze medal at the IPC Swimming European Championships in Iceland.
Steadman was competing in the SP 400m freestyle final alongside fellow Brits Stephanie Millward and Louise Watkins, who finished first and second respectively, and ensuring the British Gas Disability Team dominated the podium.
The 18 year old’s bronze medal was her first international medal, which she secured in a time of 4:56.51.
