Rivals City of Peterborough Swimming club, the defending junior champions, competed to the highest standard to win the last league round at Deepings Pool, but needed COCSC to slip up if they were to claim overall victory.
At the halfway stage of the tremendous evening, where the lead changed several times, Cambridge were leading COPS by 10 points, but an outstanding display saw Peterborough take 4 wins out of the last 5 races to win the night by 9 points from Cambridge.
The final results from Deepings pool were; COPS 152 points, COCSC 143 points, Boston A 134 points, Deepings 116 points and West Norfolk A 75 points.
