Sharon Hunt, Olympic bronze medallist, was a winner at the season’s final British Eventing horse trials at Ely Eventing Centre, Little Downham.
Hunt was on Impulsive, owned by her parents, in the junior novice class, and they achieved a good dressage score of 32.9. A clear show jump round was followed by a clear jumping round on the cross-country, which was enough for the pair to win the class.
Hunt also rode aboard Romeo Z in the intermediate-novice class, where they claimed second after knocking a pole down in the show jumping, which had followed a fine dressage. The former Perse School pupil had a third ride in the intermediate class, finishing on Red Amber in sixth place
Other local riders at the trails were Sarah J Millard, Pretoria Lee, Dr Polly Taylor and Fiona Johnson.
