Damien Stocks has captured the boxing heavyweight Mid-Anglia title after only four fights.
The Welland Academy boxer won the title when he outpointed Romas Simkus from Cambridge’s DC Boxing Academy at the Talk Nightclub in Norwich, showing good composure and great counter-punching throughout the fight to take a unanimous win, the judges scoring it 14-4,14-3 and 12-3.
Stocks now goes on to box for the Eastern Counties Championship on November 11 at the Ocean Rooms in Great Yarmouth.
