Amber Lowe secured gold on four disciplines with a string of impressive performances at the Cambridgeshire Recreational Apparatus Championships.
The event was held at Huntingdon Gymnastics Club, where Lowe is a member, and she took advantage of familiar surroundings by winning gold on the bars, vault, beam and floor in the 13+ category. Charlotte Saywell took a couple of bronze medals and a fourth place in the same group.
Caitlin Cash, Emma Rose, Georgia Blakeman, Molly Williams and Jade Strachan secured a host of medals in the younger age categories.
In the boy’s section, William Cooper collected vault gold and silver on the floor and parallel bars in the Under-12+ group. George Harris won gold on the floor, while sharing silver on the vault with Cameron Furneaux. Aidan Jackson and Tyrell Saunders-Fennel were two other medal winners.
The top four in each age group and on each apparatus will now go on to represent Cambridgeshire in the regional finals in a couple of weeks (November 14).
