Nene Valley Harriers were led to victory by Chris Wright in the second race of the Frostbite League at Bushfield on Sunday.
Wright maintained his 100 per cent winning record in the league, having won all three races he has contested in the series - including becoming the youngest ever winner in the event at Hinchingbrooke last winter.
Nene Valley claimed a second successive team success which leaves them ideally placed to win the title for the first time. There are still four races to go but if Nene Valley can get a strong enough squad to make the top three in each weekend of the Frostbite League they will take some stopping.
British duathlon international Sean Beard was also in the top 10 for Nene Valley while Ruth Jones and Yvonne Scarrott gave excellent support, with Jones a runner-up to the unbeaten Suzi Boast of Riverside Runners' Blue team.
