Three of Cambridge City Swimming Club’s juniors excelled at the East Region Winter Short Course Championships in Norwich. Ellie Winter, Richard Jefferies and Charlotte Begg won awards in the under 16 age group.
14 year old Winter was superb in the freestyle discipline and won bronze in the 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m. Jefferies, 14, also shone in the freestyle taking two silvers and two bronze medals.
Then the trio impressed in the relay teams where Jefferies led the men's 4x100m freestyle relay team to an excellent swim to finish third, while the girls finished sixth as part of the 4x100m freestyle team.
