Joe Bidwell got his season off to a winning start in front of a home crowd at Fulbourn ABC's show, held at Cambridge Regional College, with victory over Reese Stalham.
Bidwell had to fight intelligently as he gave away six inches in height and reach, and claimed a unanimous victory against the Finchley ABC fighter.
Jourdain Banthrope enjoyed a victorious debut against Geno Cowley of King's Lynn's Ferry Street ABC, while Cameron Gray proved to be too strong again for Finchley’s Alex Zendra in their rematch.
Kieran Brandwood clinched a super victory with a majority verdict win over St Ives' Tommy Martin, who he was due to fight in the Mid-Anglia Junior Novice ABA Championships under 60kg final before Martin suffered a 28 day ban after needing medical treatment in his semi-final success.
Karl Harding, Adam Sartini and James Godler suffered split verdict losses in their bouts, while Joe Mc Donald, Sam Smith, Aysa Koksal and Louie Goddard were all also defeated.
St Ives' Bradley Chapman won on a unanimous decision against Kettering ABC's Aiden Sharp, with the chance to win again in a rematch in front of a home crowd this week.
