The first boxing show to be staged in Whittlesey was a resounding success.
The show, hosted by Whittlesey Ringside Club at Whittlesey Manor Leisure Centre, was promoted by former professional Stefan Wright and a full house of 400 people watched the six bouts.
Four members of the Ringside club competed in the show, with Michael Boyden and Mark Hurst claiming victories, while Stef Johnson and 12 year old Thomas Brown were unfortunate losers on point’s decisions.
