Ely Archers 2nd Annual Portsmouth

Ely Archers held their 2nd Annual Portsmouth (record status) Tournament at Littleport Leisure Centre on Sunday 22nd November.

Archers from around East Anglia and beyond assembled to compete in the Aim4Sport sponsored event.

Ely Archers’ Roy Lockwood won the Gents’ Recurve Cup and the George Barnsley-Mountford Memorial Cup, with Jolly Archers claiming the Team Shield while their own Linda Unwin won the Ladies Recurve Plate. There were many others winners on the day.

Lord Paramount and founder member of Ely Archers, Dr Peter Hooper, commented, ‘It is great to see so many faces and wonderfully friendly atmosphere’, while Club Chairman, Andy Bensted, said, ‘With all sessions well attended, next year should be even better’.
