Cambridge Night Shift won the British Blind Sports Tenpin National Pairs title with a superb display in Swindon.
Amanda Knights and Darren South, competing under the Cambridge Night Shift name, used their skill against 11 opponents, with five games before lunch and six games afterwards.
The pair each achieved scores of over 100 on several occasions as they produced brilliant bowling, but were left shocked when they were announced as winners at the prize-giving dinner afterwards.
Knights and South got into the sport with the help of charity Cam Sight, which supports people with sight difficulties. Cam Sight’s tenpin meetings are held in the first and third weeks of the month at Cambridge Leisure Centre on Tuesday evenings and Thursdays, and at Ely Strikes on Wednesday evenings.
