Talent ID Programmes for London 2012

The UK Talent Team are working on two new Talent ID programmes for London 2012; Talent 2012: Fighting Chance and Talent 2012: Paralympic Potential.

Fighting Chance is an innovative talent transfer project which endeavors to mould an Olympic taekwondo gold medalist from the cream of British martial arts talent. The aim is to embrace the different styles of athletes from different martial arts that have the commitment and determination to transfer their talent to capitalise on this Olympic opportunity.

The opportunity to trial for a spot remains open until the 14th December 2009.

The Paralympic Potential programme is looking for males and females aged between 15 and 35 years old, that have an impairment and also the desire and commitment to win in their chosen sport.

With 33% of British Paralympic medalists in Beijing being part of an elite funded programme for less than 2 years, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to represent Great Britain at London 2012. The deadline for applications for this programme is 11th January 2010.

Visit the UK Sport website to sign up online to either programme.
