Ely bowler Nicky Brett is through to the last 16 of the open singles at Potters Holidays World Indoor Championships after a straight sets victory over fellow Englishman Simon Skelton.
Brett was too strong for the 14th seed, winning 8-3, 7-6 in their round of 32 contest, and setting up a match with Jarrad Breen next week for a place in the quarter finals.
No 5 seed Greg Harlow will be looking to join his Ely club-mate in the last 16 when he takes on Welshman Phillip Rowlands tomorrow.
