Cambridge Festival of Running 2010

Following its successful launch in 2009, with 1000 participants, the Cambridge Festival of Running has been launched again with the Cambourne 10k on Sunday 11th April 2010.

The Cambourne 10k appeals to runners of all levels, from new runners who want something more than just a fun run, to those with more experience. The distance is long enough to be challenging, but short enough to be accessible to anyone with the determination to put in a bit of training.

It can be used as an ideal warm-up for the London Marathon and provide runners the opportunity to sightsee on the wonderful rural course.

In 2009, the Cambourne 10k raised over £7,000 for charity. The official charities for 2010 are Anna’s Hope, Cambridge & Coleridge Athletics Trust and the Wildlife Trusts.

In addition to the Cambourne 10k race, a shorter Fun Run is being held over approximately one mile on the same day. It is ideal for younger participants or those not ready for the longer distance, and each finisher is awarded a medal.
