Gunthorpe karting ace Callum Bowyer has taken another step towards motor racing stardom after being given the seal of approval by Formula One's latest world champion.
The 15 year old hot shot received praise from 2009 F1 World Champion Jenson Button when picking up a trophy for his success in last year's Formula Kart Stars.
It is not the first time the young racer has attracted the attention of the biggest names in racing - in 2008 the then world champion Lewis Hamilton presented him with championship trophies and even voted for him in The Evening Telegraph's Young Sports Personality of the Year.
The Ken Stimpson pupil, like is ideals Button and Hamilton, is preparing for one of the biggest seasons of his career so far, racing in the senior KF2 series alongside professionals and adults, while finding time to fit in his GCSE coursework.
Bowyer is currently looking for sponsorship for the coming season and anyone interested should call Tracey Bowyer on 01733 701099.
