parkrun in Cambridge

parkrun have introduced their 5k running initiative in Cambridge.

parkrun started in 2004 with just 13 runners in Bushy Park, Teddington. Since then, the Bushy parkrun has become a well established running event; open to all runners who happen to be near Teddington on Saturday morning.

Due to parkrun’s growth across the world, organisations such as Nike, Lucozade, Sweat Shop and London Marathon are sponsoring parkrun events.

Cambridge parkrun is held at Milton Country Park every Saturday at 9am free of charge. Participants that want to be involved in the runs must register prior to taking part in the events, and will receive a newsletter and run results on a weekly basis.

Cambridge parkrun are also looking for volunteers to help each Saturday. To take part in parkrun events, register on the parkrun website, or contact CambridgeHelpers@parkrun.com to help with event organisation.
