Georgina Schwiening led the way for the Cambridgeshire's contingent at the East Anglian Schools Cross-Country Championships.
Schwiening was first to complete the 3,500m course at Hinchingbrooke School in the intermediate girls' race. Guy Kendall and Huntingdon Athletics Club runner James Downing impressed in the junior boys' race, finishing in second and fifth respectively, while Chris Wright finished third in the senior boys’ race.
Cambridgeshire's senior girls did the county proud, finishing first in the team event, while the senior boys' team finished second thanks largely to Wright's third place.
The overall results meant Cambridgeshire were fifth. Suffolk were champions, with Northants second, Norfolk third and Lincolnshire fourth.
