Karting enthusiasts Kieren Clark and Steven Wills are at different stages of their racing careers but are equally looking for renowned success.
Clark recently received more recognition for his motor racing talent when he was presented with the BARC President's Trophy for 2009 at the British Automobile Racing Club awards ceremony.
The honour is awarded for excellence during the 2009 season and Clark's winning streak for Apotex Scorpio in the BARC Formula Renault Championship, which saw him claim the title and earn him the accolade.
At the beginning of the season, Clark took part in David Brabham's Racing4Charity Celebrity Karting Challenge with his team finishing fourth. The 21 year old Royston racer’s attention is now firmly focused on the year ahead and he is hoping for another strong challenge in the BARC Championship.
With the new season beginning on April 17, Clark is looking for sponsorship for his team, knowing live TV coverage could be a great boost for partners.
Anyone interested in sponsoring Clark can email info@3ksracing.co.uk or log on to www.kierenclark.comfor more information.
Meanwhile, Steven Wills is looking forward to life in the fast lane when he celebrates his eighth birthday this year, as this will allow the karting star to be eligible for club competition in the cadet formula.
Wills, from Swavesey, was born with a passion for motor racing and progressed through all three levels in the Bambino Kart School at Buckmore Park, a host to international competition and a place where Formula One stars Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Johnny Herbert honed their skills.
Wills practices regularly at the Bambino Club but his skills will improve even more from April when he starts taking part in club events and race meetings racing a 40mph Honda 160cc 4-stroke Sodikart.
