Nicky Brett has clinched his second national title of the season by helping City of Ely to the mixed fours crown at the English Indoor Championships.
The England international won the Champion of Champions title two weeks ago at Hayling Island and added to his honours list by skipping clubmates Sarah Seymour, Kerry Reynolds and Jamie Reynolds to success.
Ely cruised to a 23-6 win over Nottingham quartet Margaret Lomas, Helen Mason, Phil Broughton and Alistair Hansen in the semi-finals before seeing off Minehead’s Hilary May, Mervyn May, Elaine Amery and Steve Hooper 22-11 in the final.
