City of Ely looking to lift Egham Trophy

City of Ely Bowls Club will be out to lift the Egham Trophy for the second time in five years when they face Torquay United in the final at Desborough on Sunday (7th March).

They last won the prestigious mixed team national title in 2005, when they defeated defending champions Exonia 80-70. It will be a clash between two sides with a raft of internationals, with the likes of Greg Harlow, Nicky Brett, Ellen Falkner and Sara Matthews competing for City of Ely, while Sam Tolchard is Torquay’s main England international.

Rink one - Margaret Reeder, Sarah Seymour, Andrew Ware, Andrew Easy. Rink two - Kay Harlow, Sue Alexander, Ian Brown, Greg Harlow. Rink three - Sara Matthews, Kerry Reynolds, Matthew Marsden, Jamie Reynolds. Rink four - Pauline Turner, Ellen Falkner, Chris Falkner, Nicky Brett.
